Day One: Small Business Tax Topics- 8 CPE Credits

This seminar covers small business topics under various entities. Topics covered will include: health insurance, unreimbursed business expenses, retirement plans, compensation, contributions and distributions, and liquidations. Each topic will show a comparison between a partnership, S corporation, C corporation, sole proprietorship, and LLC. Day Two: Individual Tax Topics- 8 CPE Credits
- Course Level: Intermediate
- Prerequisite: Basic knowledge on preparing a Form 1040 return.
This information-packed course will review Schedule D, the various capital gains rates, and incentive stock options (ISOs). It will explain how these items may lead to alternative minimum tax (AMT) and the minimum tax credit (MTC), including the refundable AMT credit. Lastly, it will examine the tax benefit rule and AMT. - Explain the tax consequences of incentive stock options.
- Identify tax issues that result in AMT.

Day Three: Estates, Gifts, and Trusts- 8 CPE Credits
