NATP Chapters are actively doing much to increase the professionalism, education level and camaraderie of NATP members. Chapters have a great variety of educational opportunities regarding state tax issues and tax practice management. This ranges from informal round table discussions to formal seminars and speakers from the state taxation departments and others. Legislative committees in the Chapters are monitoring legislation that affects the tax preparation business. They make contact with the tax writing committees and the state taxation administrators on behalf of their members. The Chapter's annual meeting is an opportunity for you to get acquainted with other tax preparers in your state, build a peer network, make new friends as well as have an enjoyable experience. The Chapter is an excellent opportunity for you to get involved with tax issues at the state level. NATP membership includes Chapter affiliation. By participating on the Chapter level, you can make a difference. Contact the National Office regarding Chapters or to receive assistance in forming a Chapter.
