Self-Study General InformationIf you can't attend one of NATP's workshops and prefer not to take a facilitated online course, then self-study is for you! Get the same great information that is offered in our live workshops, but study at your own pace. Once you are done with a thorough review of the material, a test will be available for EAs and CTEC members to receive CPE credits. All others should check with their state for CPE approval. The exam must be taken by one year from the date of purchase in order to receive credit for the course. Upon completion of the exam, you will be sent a notice of whether you passed the test. If you were successful, you will receive a certificate of completion. Each of the courses will be available either as an electronic self-study kit (downloadable book and exam) or as a printed textbook with a paper copy of the exam. If you register for the courses from this section of our website, you will receive the electronic version of the course. A broadband/high speed internet connection (e.g., DSL, RoadRunner, cable modem) is required in order to download the textbook. If you do not have a broadband/high speed internet connection, or if you would prefer a hard copy of the book, you should purchase our self-study book which comes with a paper copy of the exam through our Tax Store or Online Catalog. All the necessary information for the program is received upon registration.
