NATP's Research Staff is Specially Trained to Help You With Any Federal Tax QuestionMost callers want answers to specific questions on tax returns or interpretations of new laws. Some already know the answer and just want verification, while others want guidance on where to look for clarification on what they are reading. We can provide just what you're looking for. How to Use the Research Service- Call NATP's toll-free line at 800.558.3402, ext. 2. For better service, please have your question summarized in advance.
- To send questions over the Internet, use the convenient form on our website or e-mail the question directly to research@natptax.com.
- Questions can also be mailed or faxed to 800.839.0001.
- Be sure to include your name, member number (if applicable), and preference for the type of response desired.
- If a question is answered over the telephone and you would like written follow-up documentation, please let the research specialist know.
- If a question is not answered over the telephone, the question will be researched and the answer mailed, e-mailed, or faxed to you, usually within three business days.
- If extensive research is required, an additional charge may apply. You will be given an option before proceeding.
Charges for 2008Each member is entitled to one FREE research answer per calendar year as a member benefit. Note: Billing is per answer, not per call. - After the initial question, a $23.00 per answer charge applies for NATP members.
- Nonmembers and Emeritus members are charged $51.00 per answer.
