He is the firm's principle financial consultant, helping clients define their unique financial goals. Chris is a 1998 Financial Management graduate from Bob Jones University. An avid learner, Chris holds multiple professional designations including NASD Series 7 and 66 securities licenses, insurance licenses, Certified Financial PlannerTM, and Enrolled Agent. He is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Administration degree from Saint Michael's College in Colchester, Vermont. Currently Chris is a board member for the Vermont Tax Preparers Association. He also serves on the University of Vermont Extension Tax School Advisory Council. | Leonard Cole, EA, CPA, CFP Temecula, CA Len has a large tax practice in Temecula, CA. His firm prepares income tax returns and resolves IRS problems for clients. He has taught college and university courses for several years and has authored several books in the accounting field. Len received his B.S. and M.B.A. degrees from the University of Southern California. In December 2006, Kathryn completed two three-year terms on the National Board of Directors of NATP and was awarded Chapter Person of the Year for 2002 for her volunteer service to the community at large as well as to NATP. In addition to serving as an officer on the NY NATP Board, she currently serves as Chair of the IRS Tri Boro Practitioner Liaison Committee, and President of the Queens Chapter of the New York Society of Independent Accountants as well as their Statewide 2nd Vice President. Kathryn is a member of the National Society of Accountants, National Association of Enrolled Agents and their New York affiliates, as well as the Better Business Bureau of NYC. He has been a board member since 2000, and currently serves as the Chapter President. | Marilyn Meredith, EA Port Huron, MI Marilyn owns Meredith Tax Service, Meredith Financial Research, and Much & More Income Tax Workshops, with offices in Port Huron, St. Clair, and Marine City in the state of Michigan. Marilyn has been in the tax business for 40 years. She has been an Enrolled Agent (EA) since 1979, has a Series 7 license, and is on the Board of the Michigan Chapter of NATP. She has also served on LRPAC, SEEAC, and Cut-Score study as NATP representative as well as other NATP committees. | | | Cheryl Morse, EA North Easton, MA Cheryl has been a tax practitioner since 1982 and an Enrolled Agent since 1996. She has completed a term of office on the Massachusetts NATP Chapter Board, where she served as treasurer. O'Planick began her tax career as a VITA/TCE volunteer in Kingman, Arizona, in 1984. She became an enrolled agent in 1994, and owns HELJAN Associates, LLC, in York, Pennsylvania. HELJAN serves business and individual clients with write-up, payroll, tax preparation, financial, and representative services. Helen also teaches for professional organizations including the IRS, and serves PA as an IRS electronic filing guru. Helen served on ETAAC, the Electronic Tax Administration Advisory Committee, and is currently team leader of "Tax Experts" on AOL. She is treasurer and past president of the PA Society of Enrolled Agents and was an NAEA director. Helen is a registered representative with Series 6/63 licenses. | | | Steven O'Rourke, EA Oshkosh, WI Steve is an Enrolled Agent (EA) and earned his B.B.A. degree in accounting from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. He has over 20 years of teaching experience for NATP and other organizations, 30 years experience in tax preparation and related fields, and is licensed to sell securities. He owns and operates a tax and accounting practice which currently serves over 2,600 clients. In 2002, Steve completed serving a three-year term on the NATP Board of Directors. | Thomas O'Saben, EA, CFP Maryville, IL Tom graduated from Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville in 1982 with degrees in political science and finance. He has been a Certified Financial Planner (CFP) since 1993 and an Enrolled Agent (EA) since 1994. Along with a staff of four, Tom's practice (established in 1992) provides tax, accounting, and financial planning services for approximately 1,000 clients. In November 2003, Tom merged his practice with FCB Banks, a group of nine locations in Southern Illinois, mostly located in the St. Louis, Missouri metropolitan area to provide his clientele with additional services, as well as to provide tax and accounting services to the customer base of the bank. Tom also provides Quickbooks training and has given numerous educational presentations on a wide variety of tax and financial planning issues. | | | Ronald Olson, EA Laguna Vista, TX Ron Olson began his tax preparation business in Troy, NY in 1983 and has been an enrolled agent since 1987. At the peak of his activity he prepared approximately 1,100 individual, corporation, partnership, fiduciary and exempt organization returns annually. In late 2005, Ron entered semi-retirement, and moved to Laguna Vista, TX (near the Gulf of Mexico) where he continues to prepare returns for about 40% of his New York clients. He owns his own tax and accounting practice in Minneapolis, MN. | Betty Kohls Stehman, CPA, C.I.A., CSA Calverton, MD Betty Stehman has over 30 years as an experienced accountant and tax professional. Ten of these years were in the corporate environment serving as an internal auditor in a mega bank, and a Fortune 500 company. Betty began her tax practice in 1989 which has grown to prepare approximately 300 returns per year with a concentration on small businesses in many industries. Her practice also does audit representation and collection representation as well as part-time CFO work for her clients. She received her Certified Internal Auditor designation in 1984, her CPA designation in 1994, and her Certified Senior Advisor designation in 2006.
